Overview

AppBoost Funnel & Campaign Analytics is the measurement layer for mobile marketing teams and product managers, organized around the AARRR model of acquisition, activation, retention, revenue and referral. It records system and custom events, reports push, email and SMS campaign results, and links installs and lifetime value to acquisition channels, with campaign data exportable to Excel or CSV.

Key facts

Framework
AARRR: acquisition, activation, retention, revenue, referral
Event types
System events tracked automatically and custom events you define
Push funnel
Received, dismissed, opened and converted
Revenue
Campaign revenue tracking and LTV per acquisition channel
Export
Campaign analytics to Excel or CSV

The problem

Numbers exist for every channel, but not for the whole funnel

Ad platforms report clicks, messaging tools report opens, and the store reports installs. None of them shows which channel produced a user who came back and paid. Teams debate results instead of acting on one connected view.

Capabilities

What Funnel & Campaign Analytics includes

  • Built-in system events

After SDK integration, AppBoost logs events such as smart link opens, app installs, app opens, uninstalls, purchases and landing page opens without extra tagging.

  • Custom events

Define the events that describe your product, such as Product Viewed, and log them through the SDKs. Your account manager recommends a starting set during integration.

  • Delivery and engagement events

Email received, opened and unsubscribed, SMS received, app push and web push received, and app push opened, dismissed or converted are all recorded per campaign.

  • Campaign analytics

See sent and failed counts per platform, plus received, dismissed, opened and converted for push. Conversion tracking is real time, and results export to Excel or CSV.

  • Install attribution

Attribute app installs to each link-based channel, including post-install events, so you can see which channels perform and which need work.

  • Revenue and LTV reporting

Purchase events carry a conversion value, campaigns show revenue, and attribution reports lifetime value per acquisition channel to reveal which channel brings valuable users.

  • Automation journey events

Automation journeys log trigger, received, open and conversion events, so you can evaluate an ongoing journey the same way as a one-off campaign.

  • Segments from results

Turn a conversion or a campaign outcome into a segment, then re-target it. Smart Deep Link analytics and push analytics can both create segments.

How it works

How Funnel & Campaign Analytics works

  1. 1

    Integrate an SDK

Connect your app, website or other touch points through an SDK or the REST API so system events and system user attributes start flowing into the dashboard.

  2. 2

    Define custom events

Add the custom events that mark activation and other product milestones, then map them to the AARRR stage they belong to.

  3. 3

    Run campaigns and links

Send push, email and SMS campaigns and use smart deep links, so delivery, engagement, install and conversion events carry campaign and link identifiers.

  4. 4

    Review and act

Read campaign analytics and attribution reports, export results when needed, and save segments from conversions for the next round of re-targeting.

Who it is for

Who uses Funnel & Campaign Analytics

For marketing managers

Judge each channel on installs, conversions and revenue rather than on delivery alone, and reallocate spend and effort using one set of numbers.

  • See lifetime value per acquisition channel
  • Compare push, email and SMS results per campaign
  • Track conversions in real time after a send
  • Export campaign results to Excel or CSV for reporting

For product managers

Get an event model you can reason about: system events are predefined, custom events are yours, and both link back to campaigns and acquisition sources.

  • System events logged by the AppBoost engine
  • Custom events for activation and product milestones
  • Post-install events linked to the acquisition channel
  • Uninstall events for retention analysis

Use cases

Funnel & Campaign Analytics use cases

  • 01

    Compare acquisition channels

Give each channel its own tracked link, then compare installs and lifetime value per channel to decide where the next budget goes.

  • 02

    Evaluate a push campaign

Follow a push from sent to received, opened and converted, check failures per platform, and see the revenue attached to the campaign.

  • 03

    Diagnose activation

Log the events that mark first value, such as a first product view or purchase, and compare which sources bring users who reach them.

  • 04

    Feed reports and other tools

Export campaign analytics to Excel or CSV, or pass events to other tools through the AppBoost Zapier triggers, such as user event and properties.

Frequently asked questions

Funnel & Campaign Analytics FAQ

What is AARRR and how does AppBoost use it?
AARRR stands for acquisition, activation, retention, revenue and referral, the full mobile app user funnel. AppBoost is built around these stages: links and attribution cover acquisition, events cover activation, campaigns and uninstall tracking cover retention, and purchase events cover revenue.
Which events are tracked automatically?
System events include smart link open, matching and deep link opened, app installed, app opened, app uninstalled, purchase, landing page open, and email, SMS, push and web push delivery events. Automation journeys add trigger, received, open and conversion events.
What does campaign analytics show?
For campaigns, AppBoost shows sent and failed counts per platform. For push it also shows received, dismissed, opened and converted, with real-time conversion tracking, campaign revenue tracking, and export to Excel or CSV.
Can we see lifetime value by channel?
Yes. Mobile attribution reports revenue per acquisition campaign and the lifetime value of users from each marketing channel. The ltv profile attribute is the total revenue from a user, populated when revenue tracking is set up.
What setup does this need?
Integrate an AppBoost SDK, which the docs place at 5 to 10 minutes of setup. System events and attributes then arrive automatically. Custom events and revenue tracking need additional logging in your app, which your account manager can help scope.
How does this fit with other AppBoost products?
It reads the data those products create. Mobile Attribution ties installs to links, Audiences turns results into segments, Uninstall Tracking supplies retention signals, and Marketing Automation events show how journeys perform.
