The problem

An app without a web presence is invisible to search and hard to campaign for

Apps often have no website to receive paid, social or email traffic, and store listings offer little room to tell a campaign story. Teams end up sending visitors to generic pages that do not open the app, do not adapt to the device, and do not appear in Google.

Capabilities

What Micro Pages includes

  • Online editor with preview

Assemble a page from images, header text and body text, and check it in a built-in mobile preview before publishing. Campaign pages take minutes, not a development sprint.

  • Predesigned templates

Start from ready layouts such as a single-image page or an image slider, then adjust style and upload images with the built-in uploader.

  • Mobile-ready CTA buttons

Attach buttons that send an SMS, send an email, click to call, open an app deep link or open a popup.

  • Smart CTA by platform

The page detects whether the visitor is on mobile or desktop and generates the matching button, for example send an SMS on mobile and open a payment page on desktop.

  • SEO for organic installs

Pages are built to be indexed by Google. Publish pages around the keywords your audience searches for and follow the documented Search Console steps to request indexing.

  • Social sharing metadata

Every page carries the major social media metadata and built-in share buttons, and you can preview and customize how it appears when shared.

  • Analytics and session insight

Log visits to Google Analytics, record sessions with Hotjar, and read hits by platform, country, browser, time period and referrer, including parameters passed in the URL.

  • Branded domain and web push

Serve pages from your own subdomain and grow web push subscribers directly from Micro Pages sessions, using the integrated AppBoost web push.

How it works

How Micro Pages works

  1. 1

    Set up your project

Enter your subdomain, Google Analytics ID and Hotjar ID in Project Settings, along with your App Store and Google Play identifiers.

  2. 2

    Build the page

Choose a template in the online editor, add images and text, and configure each CTA button. Alternatively create pages from your app or backend through the REST API.

  3. 3

    Connect a branded domain

Add a CNAME record for your subdomain that points to the address AppBoost provides, then ask support to finish the configuration on the AppBoost side.

  4. 4

    Publish and get indexed

Share the short URL in campaigns, or verify the domain in Google Search Console and request indexing so the page can appear in search results.

  5. 5

    Read the results

Review hits by platform, country, browser and referrer in AppBoost, and review sessions in your Google Analytics and Hotjar accounts.

For marketing managers

Launch campaign landing pages without waiting for a web developer, and tie search, social, SMS and email traffic to one destination that opens the app.

  • Create pages programmatically through the REST API or SDK
  • Standards-ready deep linking: iOS Universal Links, Firebase Dynamic Links, Facebook App Links
  • Platform-aware CTAs route each visitor to the right next step
  • Session recording and heat maps show where visitors drop off

Use cases

Micro Pages use cases

  • 01

    Search-driven app installs

Publish keyword-focused pages that describe a feature or offer, submit them to Google Search Console, and let organic search bring visitors who tap through to your app.

  • 02

    Rich SMS campaigns

Send an SMS that links to a Micro Page instead of a bare URL, so recipients see rich content and a clear call to action outside the app.

  • 03

    Push to page journeys

Point a push notification at a Micro Page when the destination is richer than an app screen, such as a campaign story with several buttons.

  • 04

    Desktop-to-mobile handoff

Serve one page to every visitor: mobile users get a send-SMS or open-app button, while desktop users see a different action such as a payment page.

Frequently asked questions

Micro Pages FAQ

What are Micro Pages?
Micro Pages are mobile web pages hosted by AppBoost. You create them in the online editor or from your app through the REST API. They combine images and text with call-to-action buttons that interact with your app from a desktop or mobile browser.
Do we need a website or developers to use them?
No. Pages are hosted by AppBoost and made in an online editor with templates and a mobile preview. The docs state that Micro Pages can make an app indexable in Google even if the app has no website of its own.
Can we use our own domain?
Yes. Create a CNAME record for a subdomain of your domain, for example m.yourwebsite.com, pointing to the address AppBoost provides. Then contact support to finish the configuration. Otherwise pages use a yourname.appgain.io subdomain.
How do Micro Pages help SEO?
Pages are optimized for Google, so keyword-focused pages can bring organic app installs from search. The SEO guide covers Search Console verification, requesting indexing, and writing titles, meta descriptions, body copy and image alt text.
What can we measure?
AppBoost reports hits per platform, growth over time by day, hour and month, hits per country and browser, referrers, and the parameters passed in the URL. You can also log visits to Google Analytics and record sessions with Hotjar.
How do Micro Pages fit with other AppBoost products?
Push notification and SMS campaigns can open a Micro Page as their call to action. Pages are ready for deep links, and integrate with AppBoost web push to build subscribers from page sessions. Short URLs use the m.appgain.it format.
